About Course

General Course Description

Students are trained on how to use a computer and computer applications in an office, business or personal computing setting. CCA is a beginner’s course that offers students the following;

  • An introduction to Computer systems and Operating Systems.
  • Writing professional documents with MS Word.
  • Organizing numerical data using MS Excel.
  • Designing Presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Internet, Email [Microsoft Outlook] and the World Wide Web.

CCA is offered every 12 weeks. It is a learner centered course that offers flexibility in time and date of study. CCA gives a wide and vibrant variety of course materials which have been carefully chosen to give any individual a good jump-start into computing.

By learning these applications, you will have expertise in this, and by this, you can apply for government jobs or private jobs. Being a recognized certificate, it can be used for jobs or further study.

  • Finally, you'll complete a graded project, which will test the skills acquired in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Computer Components and Add-Ons
In this course, you’ll get the chance to familiarize yourself with the parts of the personal computer. You’ll learn how these parts function together to perform tasks. You’ll be given a glimpse into the inner workings of the computer, and this is knowledge that will serve you well should you ever experience computer problems. After all, you’ll form a career-long partnership with your computer. For this partnership to be successful, you must have confidence in your ability to use your machine properly.

In this section you will cover and master windows 10 one of the mostly uses computer operating systems in the world. Emphasis will be put on windows 10 release 2019. Other earlier versions of windows will also bes discussed as well as windows 11.

Introduction to Image Editing with Adobe Photoshop
This course begins coverage of Adobe Photoshop in regard to the production of print and web-based graphics. The students learn how to use the Photoshop software and apply smart design principles to multimedia products such as print brochures, dynamic graphics, animation, websites, video, and interactive CD-ROM content
